Since the reports of the Winnipeg Jets and Trouba being miles away in contract talks, and multiple teams have shown interest, here are some possible trades involving Trouba.

Arizona Coyotes Receive:
Jacob Trouba
Alex Burmistrov
2017 4th round pick

Winnipeg Jets Receive:
Jakob Chychrun
Rights to Tobias Rieder
Anthony Duclair

This trade works well for both teams. For Arizona, because they have shown interest in Trouba, and they need a good right defenceman who can play now, and for a long time. It also lets them get rid of Tobias Rieder, who may not play with them again. They get to receive a quality bottom 6 winger in Alex Burmistrov.
For the Jets, they get a D prospect who they don’t have to protect in Chychrun, they get Duclair, who’s a left winger that they would play on the right and puts up good numbers for a young player. They also get Rieder, who they could negotiate with, and trade if the negotiations didn’t work out.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
Darnell Nurse

Peter Chiarelli has proved that he’s not afraid to make trades for D-men with the Hall for Larsson trade. He obviously wants a defender who can play now, and can still get better. The Oilers also receive a veteran D in Stuart. He could play a depth bottom pairing role, and is a really good leader. They also receive prospect Nic Petan who has great potential, and can play a bottom role right now. Edmonton would probably do this because they have an over abundance of centres.
The Jets get elite centre Nugent-Hopkins, and a good d-man who is exempt from the expansion draft. They would probably move Little to the wing, and Nugent-Hopkins and Mark Scheifele would be the 1-2 centres.

Alex Burmistrov

This trade has actually been talked about, and could happen. Both are RFA’s, and can’t come to terms with their teams. Burmistrov would also be added to increase the value. He would help add depth to a potential cup contender, and can play on higher lines if needed.

Even though Kevin Chevaldayoff denied it, there is a very good chance that Trouba has played his last game in blue and white.
