For Winnipeg Jets forward Kyle Connor, this will be a game to remember.

Kyle Connor’s first NHL goal came  last night with the Winnipeg Jets Vs. the Dallas Stars. It was a beautiful setup by Nik Ehlers, which resulted in Connor scoring.

Ehlers just broke out of the zone, and on the other wing was Connor who came in on a 2-on-1. Ehlers started cutting in, then made a nice pass to Connor, which he took, and went top shelf.

This is Kyle Connor’s 6th NHL game.

I definitely believe that this is the beginning of a very bright future for Kyle Connor. I definitely see Connor on the Jets in the future, and I think him and Ehlers could make a really good winger pairing together, with Connor on the right, and Ehlers on the left.

This season, Connor has played (not including tonight’s game vs Dallas) five games, recording only one assist.

Last season he played 38 games with the University of Michigan. While in Michigan, he scored 35 goals, and 36 assists for a total of 71 points.

His stats from the University of Michigan obviously display his talent level, and that is also another reason why I believe Kyle Connor has such a bright future lying ahead of him with the Winnipeg Jets.

If Connor and Ehlers can find a really good passing centerman, they could become a really good passing/sniping line for the Winnipeg Jets. Someone like Brian Little, (who is out indefinitely with an injury) would be a very good fit on their line. Another good fit could possibly be Nic Petan, if he develops nicely, and becomes a good playmaking centerman. If they were to put Petan on that line, it would most likely be smart to wait a few years until he matures, and gets a bit more pro experience.

This, undoubtedly will be a game Connor will not forget his first goal in a Winnipeg Jets uniform, and this is only the start of this young man’s career.
