Where were we ranked?

In Fandom 250, only eight of 31 teams were ranked and I was honestly quite shocked that the Jets weren’t included. The Winnipeg Jets have some of the most exciting and entertaining fans in all of sports! They are always into the game, and never are boring, with all their different chants, booing and cheering.

The Jets first few years in the NHL were honestly painful to watch, with some absolutely brutal seasons. The fans were loyal, and had their team’s back during that time. Almost every Jets game ever played at the Bell MTS Place (Formerly the MTS Centre) was sold out. If it wasn’t 100% packed, it was near impossible to find the open seats in the stands. We watched the painful (but worthwhile) development of players, and have seen many players come and go. Finally, thanks to Kevin Chevaldayoff’s master plan, the Jets are a seriously fun team to watch. Unsurprisingly, they are even more fun to see playing live, at home with all of their fans.

I don’t think the Jets aren’t brought to the spotlight enough in terms of news, and highlights, and I believe this could be another bit of injustice with our small town. Sure, I agree that most of those teams are deserving of a top eight placement. I think almost anyone can agree that the Jets are the most deserving of all. I think we have the most united fans and you can hardly go anywhere without a conversation about the Jets. It’s also almost impossible to walk into a room or walk down the street anywhere in Winnipeg without seeing Jets gear (clothing, jerseys, hats, etc.) being sported by a few people.

Will we have a better chance in the future?

With the all the Winnipeg Jets being fairly young, and the team becoming a potential contender, I believe we will have a chance at top five in the next few years, as there will be more coverage on our team.
