Can’t say they didn’t try though. BY the end of the second, I really started thinking we might make it. Even with what appeared to be the worst of the penalties called on us, we were still holding our own. I am starting to wonder if, perhaps, we need to get rid of that 2nd intermission…it seems no matter what momentum we have built through the second, once we start that 3rd, we fall short. Granted, I don’t think my heart could have taken overtime tonight. It was bad enough suffering through the empty net again…
A few good things, Boulton had the MOST AWESOME fight tonight! Granted, somehow we got an additional 2 minute penalty for it, but it was still amazing to watch. Ladd shined through tonight, showing why he already has that A on his jersey. And Bryan Little, man we missed you!!
All in all, we didn’t walk away with a win. Yes, we really wanted that win, but we fought and we fought hard. We showed the number 1 team that they really need to be on their toes when we come to town…and hopefully, come next Friday, with all of our fans in the house, we will show them, again, that we can win too!
