So, tonight I cook the fixins’ for our potluck at work tomorrow, tomorrow afternoon, I head out for the Thanksgiving weekend. Drive up 75 to grab my hubby and belongings and head south on the same highway to meet up with my babies and their grandparents. And on the way, I will pass Philips, where, just hours later, the Thrashers will meet the Red Wings. The Red Wings are now 8-1-1 in their last 10. The Thrashers will have Ondrej Pavelec starting in goal for the 3rd straight game. Ondrej is eager to show his worth for the 1st line goalie, and so far, second in line for save % and 3rd in line for goals against, Pavs is looking to stay right where he is, with Tim Thomas from the Boston Bruins holding first place in both.
The Red Wings come into Atlanta Wednesday night, now leaders in the Western conference. The Thrashers, well, they have 2 wins in a row with a Eastern Conference shut out in the mix. We are riding high with our new captain team, Ladd, Byfuglien and Enstrom and a 4th home game in a row. The odds couldn’t be stacked up better for us. Add the meeting of two of the three highest ranked Defensive players, Byfuglien and Lidstrom, well, it really sucks that this meet up will be taking place while I drive by on my way to Tampa. But I have confidence in this Blueland team. And I hope that, just maybe we have found our niche. That our Captains have control and will keep this ship sailing on the right path, no matter how stormy the sea…
