The Thrashers sure know how to end on a big note! We have Ondrej Pavelev as the NHL #1 star of the week and Dustin Byfuglien as the NHL #2 star of the week, taking Crosby’s hat trick scoring 200th goal to #3. Blueland is mighty proud right now!
Last night we visited the Colorado Avalanche. Last night would have been the first time Anthony Stewart played against his little brother Chris Stewart since the last time they met 2 yrs ago, Anthony was not on the line up. Unfortunately, Chris is our for 4-6 weeks with a broken hand after a fight on Saturday night and missed both last night’s game and will be sitting out the December 10th match up in Atlanta.
While Chris watched from the bench, Anthony took Atlanta to its 6th straight win, scoring the game winning goal in overtime and taking the Thrashers to tying the franchise record with this win. Pavelec has also now broken Moose’s record of the most consecutive wins for an Atlanta goalie, showing more incredible moves during last night’s game.
We will be in Pittsburg tomorrow. This should be yet another amazing experience and we will be following that up with a little more Capital Connection as well.
What the Atlanta Thrashers have started putting together on the ice is absolutely amazing to experience. Back in Atlanta on Monday, if you have the opportunity to catch them live, it is the ultimate hockey experience.
On a side note, for the traveling fans, 680 The Fan is now officially also simultaneously broadcasting on 93.7 FM (yet another wonderful gift for this season! Thank you)
