Dear 8 pound, 6 ounce, newborn baby Jesus….

LET’S COME AWAY WITH A WIN TONIGHT!!!! Glad I got that out…Really though, we NEED this. Pop Quiz… What happened on October 9th, 2009? If you guessed that it was the last time the Thrashers beat the Lightning, then you would be correct. It’s not just about ending the losing streak to this team.  You can’t look at the past and let it reflect how you perform in the future. There’s no doubt that Tampa is one of the top teams in the league, but it’s time for the Thrashers to come out and prove the same about themselves.

Atlanta currently sits six points behind Tampa Bay in the Southeast division, and still cling onto the 8th and final playoff spot(3 points ahead of Carolina). It would obviously be a big boost to the team’s and fans’ morale to come away with the win and, of course, gaining two points in the division.  The Thrashers just ended their 5-game losing skid to the Panthers on Monday, so hopefully, they can turn this skid in the right direction and keep on winning.

Injuries have been an issue of late. With Freddy Modin & Jim Slater both injured  Atlanta has been forced to make some changes.  The team has decided to bring up both Tim Stapleton and Nigel Dawes from Chicago. Stapleton has been going back and forth between the Thrashers and Wolves this season and has been holding his ground. Dawes has been simply incredible this year for the Wolves. He currently is tied in the AHL in goals, with 21. He also has 15 assists. He played six games with the Thrashers earlier this season before being sent down. Hopefully, he’ll give it everything he’s got to earn a full-time spot on the team.

LETS GO BOYS!
