This somewhat broke last week, but TSN is reporting that the Jets will play in the Central Division next year. Minnesota Wild owner Craig Leipold stated they will be playing against the Jets, Blackhawks, Predators, Stars and maybe Blue Jackets.
It’s impossible to predict how things will shake down 5-10 years down the road, but while the Jets won’t be very good for awhile, I don’t see them being a tremendous amount worse than the Wild, Stars or Blue Jackets (depending on how the BJs big signings and trades work out) and for the long term I think Winnipeg will have a very good chance to compete in the division.
