After an extremely disappointing showing in Phoenix, the Penguins don’t really seem like the greatest opponent to take on next. They will, however, be bringing a weakened group to the MTS Centre. We all know Sid Crosby is out, but so are Evgeni Malkin and Brooks Orpik. Still, the Penguins have one of the best teams in hockey and simply keeping our heads above water seems to be a reasonable goal for tonight.
The Jets meanwhile will be without Evander Kane, who has an unspecified injury. Claude Noel would only note that it likely came from blocking a shot.
