Don Cherry Drops F-Bomb On TV; Or Did He?

Every night in Canada for the past weeks, hockey fans have been treated to the voice of Don Cherry and Ron MacLean on one of the nation’s pastimes, Coach’s Corner.

On Monday night, they were back at it again, during the New York Rangers’ eventual win over the Montreal Canadiens. However, the show was a little more entertaining than usual.

Many believe that Cherry dropped an F-Bomb during the show, but you can decide for yourself

MacLean: “Do you cut him any slack?”

Cherry: “NONE, NONE. WHAT’S HE MAD AT HIM FOR? (?????) 200 feet away!”

Personally after reviewing the footage several times, I beleive that Grapes tried to say “The Puck Is” in a short amount of time, although both phrases fit perfectly into the context.

At 80 years old, however, it might be time for Cherry to call it quits before he ruins the reputation he has.
