Fear not Jets fans, our saviour is doing well. Although Jacob Trouba has withdrawn from the World Championships in Minsk – our General Manager has assured us that there is nothing to worry about.

Trouba has played in four games at the World Championship, recording two goals and one assist while averaging just over twenty three minutes of ice time.

Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff publically stated, “After consultation with the Team USA medical staff and officials, it was determined that he should return to Winnipeg as a precaution due to his previous injury history.” Jacob flew to Winnipeg this past weekend and met with team doctors for a series of tests which revealed he had sustained a mild neck strain.”

Trouba suffered a similar injury earlier in the NHL campaign when he went crashing into the boards. He missed about a month of time. He was also hurt in the Jets last regular season contest.

With a full offseason of preparation and training looming near for Trouba, Cheveldayoff said, “This will not affect Jacob’s off-season training or preparation for next season’s training camp in any way.”

This is good news for Jets faithful. Trouba tallied 29 points in 65 games last season and will play an even greater role in this upcoming season. Trouba’s health will be a key factor in how it all plays out for us. Let’s hope he can stay healthy.

It was nice to witness a bit of domination by a Jets player – but I think we can afford to sacrifice a bit of our enjoyment in the hopes of a full recovery.

If you’re enthralled by Jets players alone, turn your attention to the Memorial Cup. Scott Kosmachuk, a third round selection by the Jets is currently destroying the competition. He has 6 points in the three games played, recording a hat-trick in his last game.

Training camp should be just a little bit more interesting this season.
