The Winnipeg Jets would defeat the St. Louis Blues in a shootout to extend their winning streak to 3 games.

Puck Prose
The Jets are certainly capitalizing in the most crucial times of late. They picked up the victory in this game 2-1 over the Blues in a shootout after tying the game over halfway through the 3rd period. This was attributed to Drew Stafford’s goal at the 13:16 mark through the period.
The story of this game was the goalies on both sides. Jets G Ondrej Pavelec had another tremendous game with only 1 goal allowed on 33 shots. This should buy him yet another start, which would be his 4th. Just days ago, Pavelec had not started back to back games for just about the entire season. Elliot nearly had himself a shutout as well. He stopped 33 shots that came his way.
The shootout for this one only lasted 6 rounds. Goals scored by Stafford and Andrew Ladd sealed the deal for the Jets to send the fans at the MTS Centre home happy.
So, with this, the Jets will move to 36-23-12. This gives them 84 points and extends their lead in the wild card to 3 points. Their next game will have the Washington Capitals coming into Winnipeg to try to conquer this 3-game winning streak. If he starts, Pavelec’s ability will be put to the test once again against a high-powered offense.
