Jets Preview

The Jets are on a small winning streak here of 2 games. They are coming off a victory over the San Jose Sharks 5-2 that included both Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler scoring 3 points each. Goalie Ondrej Pavelec even stopped 38 of the 40 shots he faced.

Going into this one, the Jets will have a tough task of facing the St. Louis Blues, one of the NHL’s best. With Winnipeg being back in a wild card position, it is still must-win for the rest of the season. They will have to do it again without Dustin Byfuglien, however. He was listed as a game-time decision before last game, but sat out. Head coach Paul Maurice already announced Byfuglien out for this one, so the wait on his return continues.

C Bryan Little also returned to practice today. However, he may not play until Saturday.

Blues Preview

The Blues come into this one on a 2-game streak of their own. They are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and sit on top of the Central division. They have been led by the hot play of players like forward Alexander Steen and David Backes.

The Blues have won all three contests against the Jets this year, so expect things to go in that direction. With a 6-game road winning streak in progress as well, it makes things only look better for St. Louis.
