All good things must come to an end, right?

The Winnipeg Jets were riding hot on a 5-game winning streak behind the play of goalie Ondrej Pavelec and forward Drew Stafford. However, they did not do this with any of their games being back-to-back. Tuesday night featured their first back-to-back in a while and it resulted in a loss.

Goalie Michael Hutchison drew the start, but did not do well, allowing 3 goals on 28 shots (the final 2 goals were empty-netters). All three goals scored on him came in the second period. It would be a surprise if Pavelec does not draw the start in the next game on Thursday.

On the other hand, the Canucks have to be credited with their performance. Radim Vrbata led the way with 2 goals and an assist. He now has 7 points in his past 3 games to give him 56 on the season. F Chris Higgins and D Yannick Weber each chipped in a goal as well. Vrbata, Higgins and Daniel Sedin each had a 2 +/- for the Canucks.

Following this game, the Jets will be heading back home for a contest Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens. They will look to improve their wild card lead over the Los Angeles Kings, which is down to 2 points.
