More from Jets News

We are about two weeks away from the 2014-15 Stanley Cup playoffs. Many teams are fighting for a spot right now and the Winnipeg Jets are one of them.

At 39-24-12 (90 points), the Jets sit in the 2nd wild card spot in the Western Conference. They have a 3-point lead over the Calgary Flames and sit just 1 point behind the Minnesota Wild.

For the Jets’ 7 remaining games, they are all must-win to secure that playoff spot. Who will they be facing the rest of the way?

  • Sunday, March 29 – Chicago Blackhawks (6:30 PM CT)
  • Tuesday, March 31 – New York Rangers (7:00 PM CT)
  • Saturday, April 4 – Vancouver Canucks (2:00 PM CT)
  • Monday, April 6 – Minnesota Wild (7:00 PM CT)
  • Tuesday, April 7 – St. Louis Blues (7:00 PM CT)
  • Thursday, April 9 – Colorado Avalanche (8:00 PM CT)
  • Saturday, April 11 – Calgary Flames (2:00 PM CT)

This is going to be a very tough stretch for the Jets. 6 of those 7 teams above are playoff teams or competing for a spot. The Wild and Flames are the closest in the standings to the Jets, so those will be the most crucial games. The last game of the season could very well be a playoffs or bust game for the Jets and Flames.

The playoff chase will certainly be fun to watch. Stay tuned.
