Winnipeg Jets forward Drew Stafford has been hot for the team as of late. This week, he had 1 goal and 2 assists across three games. Two of those were in wins.
Stafford’s great play has not been just this week, however. Since March 7, the former Buffalo Sabre has 12 points (5 goals and 7 assists) in 10 games.
Stafford’s line of himself, Blake Wheeler and Mark Scheifele has been extremely productive as a unit altogether. They produced 7 points this week and doubled that total the previous week with 14.
The Milwaukee native will face many tough tests for the rest of the season in games against the Chicago Blackhawks, St. Louis Blues, Minnesota Wild and more. They will need his production as the Jets battle to hold onto their wild card spot.
