Happy Sunday Jets fans! As you are enjoying this last day of the glorious weekend I thought it would be a nice idea to show you some of the great news and stories surrounding the Winnipeg Jets of lately. So why don’t you pour yourself a cup of coffee, sit down, and enjoy this article!
Our first story that peeked my interest this week and one that I think will peak yours is an article by our Fansided friends at Too Many Men on the site. They posted an article about the 2019 NHL Champions and how with such depth in prospects the Winnipeg Jets and Arizona Coyotes seem like prime contenders in the coming years,
“For those who don’t follow Winnipeg, they boast one of the deepest minor league systems across the league. The Jets lay claim to highly rated talents like Nikolaj Ehlers (the Danish Sensation), Nicolas Petan, Joshua Morrissey, Eric Comrie, Joel Armia, Brendan Lemieux and Connor Hellebuyck to name a few.” –William McCaffrey

We had an article here on Hockey at the Forks by fellow Editor Brendan Macgranachan who wrote about the Jets’ impending free agents for the coming offseason. Brendan wrote his own predictions about whether players like Andrew Ladd or Dustin Byfuglien would stay or go,
“It’s really difficult seeing the Jets and Ladd part ways after the season and hopefully a reasonable deal will keep him wearing cheddar for the Jets for the next few years.” –Brendan Macgranachan

Earlier this month we started our prospect list of the Jets top prospects and it wasn’t until recently that we finally put the cap on that list! Brendan and myself both worked diligently on that list and if you haven’t seen our top prospect list or the recap itself then you’re missing out,
“The sheer quality and quantity of prospects on the list really goes to show you how great of a job Kevin Cheveldayoff has done since taking over the hockey operations department when the team moved from Atlanta to Winnipeg.” -Brendan Macgranachan
