Happy Sunday folks! Looking forward to Monday by any chance, probably not. Before your brutal Monday begins why don’t you take a seat and enjoy some news and cool articles about your Winnipeg Jets around the web and from here at Hockey at the Forks!
In an article by James O’ Brien of NBC sports the Winnipeg Jets were the topic of discussion from their sweep last season to their potential during the 2015 season,
“Whether you agree or disagree about their margin of defeat against the Anaheim Ducks, the bottom line is that if you trace the Jets’ history back to the Thrashers era, the franchise remains at zero playoff wins all-time.” -James O’ Brien (NBC Sports)

In an article by Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun it was discussed the various offseason grades for the members of the West’s central division,
“While it’s been a quiet summer for the Jets in terms of adding personnel, several of the clubs in the Central made significant moves. There are still plenty of capable free agents on the market and several of them could land in the division during the three weeks and change before training camps open.” -Ken Wiebe (Winnipeg Sun)

Kate Cimini of the St. Louis Blues Fansided (BleedinBlue) was kind enough to ask us to participate on a few articles between both of our sites on the line comparisons between our two teams. She broke down the comparison into two articles with one being on offensive pairing and one on defensive pairings. While her articles came out over the past week ours will be coming out later in this week.

Here’s Kate’s comparison of the Jets/Blues offensive lines,
“Does Winnipeg have the drive to win, as well as the ability? What would a match-up between them and the Blues look like? Fellow FanSided editor Andrei Lutz, who runsHockey at the Forks, our Winnipeg Jets site, believes so much in his team that he agreed to project lines against the St. Louis Blues.” -Kate Cimini (BleedinBlue)

Here’s Kate’s comparison of the Jets/Blues defensive lines,
“Today, we focus on the defense. Andrei Lutz of sister site Hockey at the Forks was kind enough to participate and send us his top defensive pairs to see who we would ice on defense simultaneously. With Winnipeg on the rise in the central division, making the playoffs last season for the first time since the franchise left Atlanta, their back end may be difficult to match for St. Louis, whose current defensive roster is short.” -Kate Cimini (BleedinBlue)

Fellow Editor here at Hockey at the Forks (Brendan Macgranachan) wrote an article earlier in the week highlighting some important bits in the Jets’ 2015-2016 season,
“After four straight road games to open up the season, the Jets open up their home schedule by taking on the Calgary Flames. Games against Canadian rivals are always interesting and lively games at the MTS Centre (or just extra lively).” –Brendan Macgranachan (Hockey at the Forks)
