Earlier this week fellow Editor (Brendan Macgranachan) here at Hockey at the Forks posted an article about the Jets players looking to make a good impression at the prospects tournament,

“The tournament is designed to showcase the Jets and other participating teams prospects but for some some Winnipeg players, it will be their first chance to impress the team’s brass for the upcoming season. The Jets have several spots to fill up front and a number of prospects have a chance to step into those positions.” -Brendan Macgranachan

Earlier this week there was an article from NHL.com regarding Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck and his push towards the net currently occupied by Pavelec and Hutchinson,

“Seizing the starting role for the St. John’s IceCaps as a rookie in the American Hockey League last season, Hellebuyck was 28-22-5 with a 2.58 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage and was named to the AHL All-Star Game in January.” -Aaron Vickers (NHL.com correspondent)

Yours truly here at Hockey at the Forks (Andrei Lutz) posted an article yesterday about how the Jets would compare to the Ducks if they were to face them today and what they need to do to defeat the Ducks and other teams in the playoffs,

“Firstly, and I know must of you are thinking this, but a change in the Jets’ net is needed if they are ever to take down the Ducks post the regular season. Ondrej’s Pavelec’spostseason stats last season make you question if he was ever in the net at any point in time (I didn’t see anyone). Pavelec went 0-4 with a GAA of 3.73, save percentage of .891, and 15 goals allowed.” -Andrei Lutz

There was another article by NHL.com earlier this week that talked about Nikolaj Ehlers and his possible jump into the NHL,

“After attending training camp with the club last season, the slick Danish winger dominated junior hockey in 2014-15, scoring 37 goals and 64 assists in 51 games for the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL before adding a ridiculous 31 points (10 goals, 21 assists) in just 14 playoff games.” -@JClipperton_CP (The Canadian Press)
