Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun wrote an article earlier this week about how it is odd that the highly-skilled Jets prospects are underperforming at the Young Stars Classic,

“With a large stable of highly-skilled prospects, it’s almost unthinkable that the Winnipeg Jets have managed to score only two goals through the first two games at the Young Stars Classic.” -Ken Wiebe (Winnipeg Sun)

Fellow Editor here at the Forks in Brendan Macgranachan also touched on the performance of the Jets players in the Young Stars Classic in an article following their loss to the Flames,

“The Jets fell behind quick and never really recovered. The Flames scored twice within the first ten minutes of the game. One was a sharp angle shot that beat starter Connor Hellebuyck but the Jets prized goaltending prospect finished with 18 saves in his one half of the contest.” -Brendan Macgranachan

In an article by Arctic Ice Hockey and SB Nation it was named that Jacob Trouba was the top Jets player under the age of 25,

“But part of Trouba’s beauty is in how he brings together both the old-school and the analytically inclined; he is a wonderful example of eye test and advanced stats aligning. He hits, blocks shots, plays an aggressive, mobile style and possesses intriguing offensive potential which I believe has only begun to spread its wings.” (, Arctic Ice Hockey, SB Nation)
