If there is anyone who can defeat GOP candidate Donald Trump it is Winnipeg Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson. As the upcoming season approaches it is seeming more and more like Pavelec’s starting job is Hutch’s for the taking and heck after last season one could say he deserves it.
Last season we saw Jets’ goaltender Michael Hutchinson go 21-10-5 with a GAA of 2.39 and save percentage of .914. This past season was the most action that Hutchinson has ever seen in the NHL and it was more then impressive with it being essentially his rookie year.

The clock is ticking for Ondrej Pavelec. Time is running out for Pavelec to keep hold of his net, he has not done as much as should be expected of a starting goaltender for several years, and Michael Hutchinson’s career is look awfully promising.
My expectations for Hutch this season? Last year we saw Pavelec turn in a horrible playoff performance. Pavelec has held the Jets net since their final season in Atlanta and neither him or the Jets have very much to show for it. Hutch turned in a solid season last year and is approaching his prime, there is no reason to doubt that Hutch will not do fine in the Jets net with the team that surrounds him, so let’s expect to see Hutch as the Jets starting goaltender next season.

While Pavs may begin as the starter, let’s be honest, he’s not going to stay the starter. Hutch’s time is coming this season and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him unload in the Jets’ net with performances that few outside of Winnipeg would even expect.
Let’s expect an interesting season from the net of the Winnipeg Jets, but more then anything let’s expect to see a new leading face in the Jets net for the first time in their newfound history. Unless some injury graces him, we will be seeing more of Michael Hutchinson then we have ever seen before and it will ultimately be for the good of the entire Winnipeg Jets team.
What do you guys think? Is Michael Hutchinson bound to take over the net of the Winnipeg Jets? Will he fail to surpass his past season? Will Pavelec shock us all and show us why he is the starter? Comment below and join in on the discussion.
