Never at the beginning of the year, did I ever think the Philadelphia Eagles would win. Now here we are, the Eagles are the Super Bowl champs after beating the Minnesota Vikings, and New England in an upset. I believe this shows the world that the Winnipeg Jets could win the Stanley Cup this year.

Underdog champions are the best champions, no doubt about it. It warms the hearts of fans across the league (Aside from fans of good teams) and shows hard work and dedication. Hard work is how it’s done.

The Winnipeg Jets have never truly had any success before this year (Excluding their season with a brief playoff stint). We’ve never actually won a playoff game in franchise history, which is bound to change this offseason. We have a team that is almost indestructible when working hard, but we aren’t too good when we aren’t working.

I think an underdog situation for the Jets is bound to happen. Obviously we are one of the best teams in the whole league, but not a whole lot of people predict us to go deeper than maybe the second round.

The Eagles didn’t crack under pressure. I don’t think you understand how hard the entire world is pushing you to beat the Patriots. Not only that, but they had to play the world famous Pats. I think this could be the Jets this post season. They just need to tune out the media, and focus on hockey. They need to do their job and that job is to go out and win games.

Another example of this was the year LA won the cup for the first time in franchise history. They just got to work and did a great job. I feel like the Winnipeg Jets are capable of winning the cup, as long as they follow their fellow underdogs.
