As we approach the most wonderful time of the year along with Christmas, here are three Winnipeg Jets players that are on the “nice” list.

As we have all heard before, “He’s making a list, he’s checking it twice, he’s gonna find out who’s naughty or nice, Santa Claus is coming to town.” It’s the time of the season, where most people get asked if they have been nice or naughty this year and if they made Santa’s list. We thought it would be fun to rank the top Winnipeg Jets on the “nice” list.

Players could make the list for their contributions to the Jets last season and they could get bonus points for their leadership and charity work.

Without further ado, here is our list for the top three Winnipeg players on the “nice” list:

3. Mark Scheifele

The joint leading scorer on last year’s team, Mark Scheifele ranks third on our list. He has been the Jets assistant captain for the past four seasons and is considered one of the best and most consistent players on the team.

Scheifele was originally drafted by the Jets in the first round with their seventh pick in the 2011 NHL Entry draft. The twenty-seven-year-old did not put up a tremendous amount of points in his first season in Winnipeg, but definitely showed he had what it takes to perform at the top level.

Since the start of the 2016-2017 season, Scheifele is more than a point per game player. He put on a show in the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs when he had 20 points in 17 games. His highest point total came back in 2018-2019, where he had 84 points in 82 games.

The two-time All-star has been an integral part of the Jets since he joined the club in 2013 and Scheifele will be a key part of the Jets’ success in the future.
