2. Connor Hellebuyck

Connor Hellebuyck was the star of the season last year for the Jets and the Jets’ success in the near future rides on him.

Looking back the Jets had the steal of the draft in 2012 when they drafted Hellebuyck as the number 130th overall selection in the fifth round. Each year it feels like the twenty-seven-year-old gets better and it is something everyone in the Winnipeg Jets organization loves to see.

Hellebuyck took home the Vezina trophy last season as the best goalie in the NHL and was also an All-Star, made the First All-Star Team, and led the NHL in shutouts with six. In 2019-2020 the Michigan native posted a 31-21-5 record with a 2.57 goals against average and a .922 save percentage.

The Jets need Hellebuyck on his “A” game to have a successful season in 2021 and he is someone who has been nice to every Jets fan.
