As we inch towards the 2021 NHL season, the schedules have been released for the Winnipeg Jets and the rest of the teams around the NHL.

After last week’s announcement on how the upcoming NHL season will operate, players and fans learned many things. First, the Winnipeg Jets will be in a division made up of only Canadian Franchises and the Jets schedule will only be made up of divisional opponents.

Also, the NHL season will begin on January 13th and the top four teams in each division will make the playoffs.

Today we learned more about how the season will transpire as the regular season schedule was released by the NHL. The Jets will drop the puck for the first time in 2021 on January 14 against the Calgary Flames at home at Bell MTS Place.

The Jets will face each team in the North Division eight or nine times each and it will be fun to watch their Jets go against their rivals every night.

As per Pierre LeBrun, the new schedule assumes that each team will be playing in their home arena and the NHL has backup schedules in place if a team cannot play in their home rink:

This is great news and it is extremely exciting to know that Jets hockey will be back in the coming weeks.
