Winnipeg Jets: Connor Hellebuyck Rated Third Best Goalie in NHL
The NHL Network has rated the top ten goalies in the NHL and Connor Hellebuyck, of the Winnipeg Jets, has found himself in the upper echelon of the league.
The NHL Network has been producing the lists of the Top 10 players in each position and is currently ranking the top 50 players in the NHL right now. These lists are fun to look at and there are many Winnipeg Jets rated on these lists including a handful of players that are considered the top 50 players in the league.

When looking at the list of the Top 10 Goalies, Winnipeg Jets star, Connor Hellebuyck is rated as the third-best goaltender in the NHL. He falls just behind Tuukka Rask of the Bruins, who is in second, and Stanley Cup Champion, Andrei Vasilevskiy, who tops the list in first.
I do believe that the NHL Network did Hellebuyck justice with this rating. The twenty-seven-year-old was the star of the show for the Jets last season and took home the Vezina Trophy as the top goaltender in the NHL.
He posted outstanding numbers during the 2019-2020 regular season for the Jets. He posted a 31-21-5 record and six shutouts with a 2.57 goals against average and a 9.22 save percentage.
These numbers helped the Jets finish the season with a +13 goal difference and Hellebuyck was key in keeping Winnipeg in a playoff race throughout the season. This led to Winnipeg getting the ninth seed in the Stanley Cup Qualifiers.
Unfortunately for Hellebuyck, he could not cap a great season in the playoffs. The Jets were eliminated in four games in the best-of-five qualifying round series of the playoffs by the Calgary Flames.
It is for certain that Hellebuyck is one of the best goaltenders in the NHL and this is further proven by his ranking on this list.
The Jets’ future success rides on Hellebuyck. When Hellebuyck is on his game, it is extremely tough to beat Winnipeg and he is one of the main reasons the Jets can challenge for a Stanley Cup in 2021.
