2. Win the North Division

The NHL announced the new divisions for the 2021 season and this may be the only time the Winnipeg Jets will in a division against only Canadian franchises. How about they win the new north division?

It is fair to say that there are major bragging rights on the line for whichever team wins the north. In an interview with the NHL, Paul Maurice said this about the new all-Canadian division:

"It’s going to be way over the top because the Canadian media, all the websites, all the talk will be about the Canadian teams…I think it’s also great for the Canadian teams in that it’s going to be a little bit old-school, that it’s going to be just about us. There will be a vibe to that that’s awesome. (NHL)"

It is for certain that this division will create some fierce rivalries between the Jets and their counterparts. The Jets will be facing each of their divisional opponents nine or ten times each.

Although it would be nice for the Jets to be both the North Division regular season and playoff champions, just winning the north playoffs and being the self-proclaimed “Kings of Canada” is something Jets fans would love from their team.
