If you are a Winnipeg Jets fan, today is the game to watch at the World Juniors as Perfetti and Canada face off against Heinola, Nikkanen, and Finland.

Today is the final day of action during the preliminary round of the world juniors. Most teams already know their fate and already know if they have clinched a spot into the quarterfinals. Regardless of that, this evening we will see all three Winnipeg Jets prospects in the same game.

Cole Perfetti of Canada will be matching up against Ville Heinola and Henri Nikkanen of Finland at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.

Perfetti is coming into this game after scoring his first WJC goal on Tuesday night against Switzerland. So far this tournament, Perfetti has one goal, three assists, and has a +2 plus/minus.

Canada is undefeated and is looking to clinch the first overall seed in Group A with a win tonight, while Finland is looking to do the same. Finland also has a perfect record going into tonight’s showdown.

Ville Heinola is one of Finland’s top defensemen, but he has yet to put up many points in this tournament. Heinola only has one assist in his first three games. Heinola will look to put on a great performance tonight against the best statistical offensive in the tournament.

Henri Nikkanen impressed in his first WJC against Germany but has been held pretty quiet since. He had one goal and one assist in Finland’s first game versus Germany and he has yet to record a point since. He has good size and vision, but tonight will be his biggest test of the tournament.

There is a lot on the line for tonight’s matchup. The winner of this game will get the number one seed in Group A and should get the more favorable matchup in the quarterfinals. While the loser will drop down to the number two seed and should face a tougher opponent in the first elimination game.

Where to Catch the Game
