The Winnipeg Jets will compete in their first and only scheduled intrasquad scrimmage today on the third day of practice at their training camp.
The start of the Winnipeg Jets 2021 NHL season is just one week and a day away and Jets training camp is in full swing.
Today the Jets are scheduled to practice from 11:00-11:30 a.m. Central Time then they are scheduled to scrimmage from an hour, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CST.
The roster and teams for today’s scrimmage can be found below:
When taking a quick glimpse at the lineups for today’s scrimmage, it looks like the Jets’ top-six forwards in 2021 will all be on Team White.
Kyle Connor, Nikolaj Ehlers, Patrik Laine, Mark Scheifele, Paul Stastny, and Blake Wheeler will all be suiting up for the same team in this scrimmage. This is a great indication that these will be the Jets’ top-two lines for the start of the season.
Most likely we will see Ehlers with Scheifle and Wheeler on one line and Connor with Stastny and Laine on the other line. Only time will tell what the final line combinations for the Jets’ top lines on the depth chart will be.
Other than that, the rest of the depth chart looks up in the air. The line combinations from today’s intrasquad scrimmage will give us a great indication of what the rest of the lines could be for the upcoming season.
Tomorrow the Jets will return to their regular training camp practice schedule. Each day for the rest of the camp, the Jets will have two practice groups. One group will practice from 7:30-8:45 a.m. and the other group will take the ice from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
