The Winnipeg Jets have finally announced their 23-man roster including their taxi squad for the opening night of the season that kicks off tomorrow.

There is only one more day until the Winnipeg Jets are back in action and play their first game of the 2021 season. Ten teams will kick off their seasons today as the NHL has five games on the schedule. The first game of the new season will feature the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers and puck drop is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Central Time.

With all the hockey on the horizon, NHL teams had to submit their opening night rosters and taxi squads by 4:00 p.m. CST yesterday, but most teams including the Winnipeg Jets announced their roster to their world today.

The roster that will begin the Jets’ quest for the 2021 Stanely Cup can be found here.

Jets 23-Player Roster

The Jets opening night roster only has 21 players on it and will feature 12 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goalies. There are not many surprises when looking at this roster.

This roster leaves the Jets with room to add two more players to this roster.

Jets Taxi Squad

Each team was allowed four to six players on this squad and one player must be a goalie if there are only two goalies on the main roster.

With that being stated, there are four skaters and one goalie on Winnipeg’s taxi squad. Those players on the taxi squad are Mikhail Berdin, David Gustafsson, Dylan Samberg, Logan Stanley, and Mathieu Perreault.

Jets Depth Chart
