The Winnipeg Jets just completed their morning skate before tonight’s second game of their first round best-of-seven series against the Edmonton Oilers.
For the second straight game, the big question facing the lineup is whether Pierre-Luc Dubois and Nikolaj Ehlers will be available to return to lineup.
During the pregame skate, Dubois was a full participant and was wearing a normal practice jersey but Ehlers still remained in a non-contact jersey.
Pierre-Luc Dubois will return to the Winnipeg Jets’ lineup, but Nikolaj Ehlers will still be sidelined for tonight’s game two
After the morning skate, Pierre-Luc Dubois revealed that he is “Ready to go“, but Paul Maurice would not reveal who would be scratched for Dubois to return.
Judging by the groups at today’s pregame skate, it is projected that Dubois will replace Kristian Vesalinen and play on the Jets’ second line alongside Paul Stastny and Andrew Copp.
After the positive news was revealed about Dubois’ return, Maurice then delivered the news that Ehlers will not be in the lineup tonight.
The one positive to take from Maurice’s press conference is that even though Nikolaj Ehlers will not play tonight, there is a chance he can return from injury on Sunday in game three at Bell MTS Place.
Other than the updates on Dubois and Ehlers, there was no other lineup updates for the Winnipeg Jets.
