After two weeks and two days, we are finally at the final day of the 2021 IIHF World Championship in Latvia and Winnipeg Jets prospect Cole Perfetti is in action today.

This tournament has had everything you could ask for: major upsets, fantastic games, and some great stories. The concluding day of the tournament should be no different.

Today we will finally find a winner of this prestigious tournament and you will definitely not want to miss this game.

Winnipeg Jets 2020 first round pick, Cole Perfetti and Canada will be playing for the Gold Medal today.

At 12:15 p.m. central time, Canada and Finland will play for gold in the championship game.

This game is a rematch of the 2019 championship and has all the makings of a fantastic game to watch. Finland has won seven straight games and is looking to win back-to-back championships against Canada.

When Canada and Finland met in the round-robin, the game went down to the wire and required a shootout to decide a winner. Ultimately Finland won the game 3-2 in the shootout.

It will be interesting to see if Cole Perfetti gets any ice time in the championship game. Perfetti has played well throughout the tournament including scoring two goals but did not play one shift in Canada’s semifinal win yesterday over the United States even though he dressed.

You can watch the championship game on TSN in Canada and on the NHL Network in the United States.

Tonight after the championship, the Winnipeg Jets will be back in action for game three in their series against the Montreal Canadiens. You can get ready for tonight’s game by reading our site’s game preview by clicking the link here or the “Next” link below!
