Last season was a season like no other for the NHL and the Winnipeg Jets. Besides the shortened schedule, travel restrictions; and regional conferences, one thing that was different for the Jets during the 2021 season was that they played their home games with no fans in the stands.
In the second round of the postseason, Winnipeg was given the green light to have a limited capacity attendance for their home games. These games were the first time during 2021 the Jets got to compete in front of their supporters at Bell MTS Place, which has now been renamed as the Canada Life Centre.
But with next season on the horizon, True North Sports + Entertainment has made a huge announcement regarding fan attendance at home games for next season.
The Winnipeg Jets will have a full capacity crowd at Canada Life Centre for the 2021-2022 season
With the announcement, this will be the first time since March 9, 2020, that the Jets will be able to play in front of a capacity crowd of 15,294.
Although the Jets have one of the smallest arenas in the NHL, the Jets are known for having one of the best atmospheres around the league and it will be fantastic to see the arena rocking again.
But there is a catch to having a full crowd. According to the tweet above, everyone including employees, staff, and guests must have proof of full vaccination.
The Jets home opener is scheduled for October 21 against the Anaheim Ducks. You can get ready for the upcoming season by reading our article about the three talking points from the Jets 21-22 schedule by clicking the link here.
