The Winnipeg Jets are back on the road as they kick off a three-game California road trip. Tonight Winnipeg will be facing off against the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center. The game is scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. central time.

The Jets are coming into this game on a two-game winning streak. The Jets had a two-game homestand and beat both the Ducks and Predators, which brought the Jets’ record back to .500.

On the other hand, the Ducks are moving in a different direction. Anaheim is on a three-game losing streak. Last time out, on Saturday, the Ducks lost in overtime to the Minnesota Wild.

The Winnipeg Jets will look to win the season series against the Anaheim Ducks tonight

Although the NHL season has only started two weeks ago, this is the third and final time this regular season that the Jets and Ducks will face off against each other. So far, both teams have each picked up a victory in the prior two games between these sides.

Odds

The Winnipeg Jets come into tonight as the favorites, courtesy of WynnBET.

This should come as no surprise since the Jets are on a winning streak while the Ducks are on a losing streak. It is interesting to note that during the season series, the home team has won both games despite being outshot in those games.

Projected Lineups

The Jets are not expected to make any changes for tonight’s game. Both Blake Wheeler and Mark Scheifele are ruled out tonight as they are not with the Jets to start this road trip.

This means the Jets are projected to use eleven forwards and seven defensemen in their lineup for the third straight game.

Connor Hellebucyk is projected to get the start in goal as he looks for his third straight win.

Here’s how the Jets are projected to lineup:

Connor-Dubois-Svechnikov
Stastny-Copp-Ehlers
Harkins-Lowry-Vesalainen
Toninato-Nash

Dillon-Pionk
Morrissey-Schmidt
Stanley-DeMelo
Beaulieu

Hellebuyck (Comrie)

Just like the Jets, the Ducks are not projected to make any changes to their lineup from Saturday night in Minnesota.

John Gibson is expected to get the start in goal tonight for Anaheim. Currently, the twenty-eight-year-old has a 2-1-1 record with a 2.67 goals against average and a .921 save percentage.

Here is how the Ducks are expected to lineup:

Heneique-Zegras-Rakell
Comtois-Getzlaf-Terry
Steel-Lunderstrom-Silfverberg
Deslauriers-Groulx-Grant

Lindholm-Drysdale
