The Winnipeg Jets came into this month playing well. The Jets carried a 4-4-2 record and although the Jets are still at an early point in their season, the start of November was extremely important for the Jets.

There was significance around the first seven games of November because all of these games were home games for the Jets at the Canada Life Centre. The Jets had a terrific opportunity to pick up a considerable amount of points on home ice against six Western Conference opponents and one Eastern Conference team.

It is also worth noting that Winnipeg started this span of games on home-ice already in good form as they were on a six-game point streak.

The Winnipeg Jets played outstanding over this homestand and picked up points in every game except one

Winnipeg kicked off this homestand with a thrilling 4-3 shootout victory over the Dallas Stars. Then they improved their point streak to eight games when they dominated the struggling Blackhawks and beat them 5-1.

The next night, the Jets’ point streak came to an end as they got shut out by the Islanders. This loss was the first time Winnipeg suffered a loss at home ice this season and their only regulation loss during this homestand.

The Jets then dropped their second straight in a row when they lost to the Blues in a shootout despite outshooting the Blues 41-33.

After that loss to St. Louis, Winnipeg then won the last three games of the homestand as they beat San Jose and Edmonton in Regulation and were victorious against the Los Angeles Kings in overtime.

Winnipeg finished this seven-game homestand with a 5-1-1 record and amassed a total of 11 points out of a total of 14 points available. This terrific run of play from the Jets has propelled them to first play in the Central Division through the first fifteen games of the new season.

At this point in the 2021-2022 season, the Jets currently have one of the best home records in the NHL. The Jets has been extremely tough to beat at the Canada Life Centre as they currently have a 7-1-1 in Winnipeg.

The Jets will play their first road game tomorrow night (11/18) since October 30 when they travel to Edmonton to take on the Oilers. Check back tomorrow for a game preview of the Jets vs. Oilers game!
