Just a day after the Winnipeg Jets suffered their biggest defeat of the season, they are back in action tonight in Calgary as they faceoff against the Flames. Tonight’s game is scheduled to start at 9:00 p.m. central time.

Yesterday the Jets were in Minnesota and everything that could go wrong for the Jets did go wrong. The Central Division leading Wild scored seven goals and won in dominating 7-1 fashion against the Jets.

That loss in St. Paul now puts the Jets losing streak at five games (0-4-1) and Winnipeg has now dropped down to fourth place in the Central Division.

The Winnipeg Jets look to bounce back against the Calgary Flames, who have been playing outstanding as of late

Contrary to the Jets’ poor run of form, the Flames have picked up points in their last five games including winning their last four games.

Calgary sits in first place in the Pacific Division with a 12-3-5 record. The Flames currently have a +30 goal differential which is the best differential in the NHL.

Odds

The Winnipeg Jets are listed as the underdogs for tonight’s game, courtesy of WynnBET.

This should not come as surprise. Winnipeg has struggled mightily in recent games, while the Flames are on a four-game winning streak.

Also, the Jets are winless in their last five road games while Calgary has picked up at least one point in six of their seven home games this season (3-1-3).

It will be extremely interesting to see how the Jets respond especially after their huge loss yesterday afternoon.
