The Winnipeg Jets finish their four-game homestand tonight when they host the Carolina Hurricanes at the Canada Life Centre. The opening puck drop for tonight’s game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. central time.

The Jets are currently on a two-game winning streak and played an extremely intense game on Sunday night as they beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-3. There were over 50 penalty minutes in that heated contest and the Jets had a great game offensively as they amassed 41 shots.

The Hurricanes have posted a 2-3-0 record in their last five games, but they played a strong game their last time out on Saturday as they skated to a 6-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres. This evening’s game kicks off a five-game road trip for the Hurricanes.

The Winnipeg Jets seek to win three straight games

The Jets started this homestand without a win against an Eastern Conference opponent and were struggling to score goals but now have won two straight against teams from the East and have scored 14 goals in their past two games.

Odds

The Winnipeg Jets are slight favorites in this game, courtesy of WynnBET.

We have seen new life from the Jets in the past two games and they won an emotional game against Toronto last time out. It will be interesting to see if the Jets can match their intensity from Sunday’s game. The Jets will also be without Neal Pionk tonight as he will be serving the first game of his two-game suspension.

The Hurricanes have played extremely well against Western Conference opponents this season posting an 8-2-1 record against Western teams, but those three losses have come in their last three games against the West.
