After a four-game homestand where the Winnipeg Jets won two games and lost two games, the Jets are back on the road this evening for back-to-back games.

Tonight the Jets are visiting Climate Pledge Arena for the first time as they take on the Seattle Kraken. Then the Jets will face off against the Canucks in Vancouver tomorrow evening. The opening puck drop for tonight’s game is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. central time.

Winnipeg did not have their best game on Tuesday night as the Carolina Hurricanes outshot the Jets 34-18 en route to a 4-2 Jets’ loss.

Seattle currently sits in last place in the Pacific Division with 20 points from 25 games but they have played well over their last five contests posting a 3-2-0 record. The Kraken suffered a huge 6-1 loss to Pittsburgh on Monday, but they will get a big boost to their lineup tonight as Mark Giordano is scheduled to return to the lineup after testing positive for COVID-19 on November 26.

The Winnipeg Jets will look to win their first game at the Climate Pledge Arena as they matchup against the Seattle Kraken

Winnipeg will be facing off against a familiar face tonight and of their key players from the 2021 season, Mason Appleton. Appleton was selected by Seattle in their Expansion Draft, but he has gotten off to a slow start this season with two goals and two assists in 14 games played.

Appleton was originally drafted by Winnipeg in the sixth round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. During his three seasons with the Jets, Appleton had 20 goals and 23 assists in 138 regular season games.

Odds

The Winnipeg Jets are the favorites in tonight’s game, courtesy of WynnBET.

It should come as no surprise that the Jets are listed as the favorites, but it is worth noting that the Jets have struggled on the road this season posing a 3-5-3 record, and have only won one of their last five away contests.

The Jets will still be without Neal Pionk and they have recalled Ville Heinola from the Manitoba Moose. It does not look likely that Heinola will play in Seattle and it is projected the Jets will use the same lineup they employed on Tuesday.
