The Winnipeg Jets are back on the ice after their four-day layoff as they begin their second half of this eight-game road trip with a matchup against the Washington Capitals tonight at Capital One Arena. The opening puck drop is set for 6:00 p.m. central time.
The Jets are coming into this game after a great win last Thursday night in Detroit against the Red Wings. Kyle Connor, Andrew Copp, and Connor Hellebuyck led the Jets as they picked up a 3-0 shutout victory over Detroit.
Washington comes into tonight after playing back-to-back games over the weekend. On Saturday, they beat the New York Islanders 2-0 in New York, but then they returned to home ice on Sunday and lost a matinee matchup to the Vancouver Canucks by a 4-2 scoreline.

A plethora of players missed the Jets’ last game due to being added to the COVID-19 Protocol but some of those players will be available tonight after practicing yesterday. Those players include Nikolaj Ehlers, Logan Stanley, Nathan Beaulieu, Ville Heinola, and Kristian Reichel.
Both Evgeny Svechnikov and C.J. Suess are not expected to play tonight after both are day-to-day with injuries.
