The end of the Winnipeg Jets long eight-game road trip to start January 2022 is finally here. Today the Jets finish their road trip in Pittsburgh with a matchup against the Penguins. The opening puck drop is set for 12:00 p.m. Central Time.

The Jets started this road trip extremely well, winning three of their first four games, but the second half of the trip has not gone so well for Winnipeg. The Jets have lost three straight (0-2-1 record).

This is also the second game in back-to-back days for the Jets as they were in Boston yesterday and lost 3-2 to the Bruins.

The Winnipeg Jets look to break their losing streak against the Pittsburgh Penguins, who are one of the hottest teams in the NHL

The Penguins have been a tough team to beat as of late. They have won four in a row, eight of their last ten, and their last six home games.

Most recently, Pittsburgh played back-to-back games on back-to-back days on Thursday and Friday nights. They beat the Senators 6-4 on Thursday and followed that up with a 5-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday. Today’s game also opens a six-game homestand for the Penguins.
