The Winnipeg Jets head to the Prudential Center for the first time since October 4, 2019, to take on the New Jersey Devils. The opening puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. central time.

The Jets are coming into this game after having a four-game homestand. The Jets finished the homestand with a 2-1-1 record including winning their final game against the Tampa Bay Lightning 7-4 on Tuesday.

The Devils enter this game in the midst of a homestand. The Devils have won both prior games of this run of home games as they beat the St. Louis Blues 3-2 in overtime on Sunday and followed that up with an impressive 5-3 over the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday evening.

The Winnipeg Jets start an important three-game road trip tonight with a matchup against the New Jersey Devils

Tomorrow, the Jets will head to the new UBS Arena to take on the New York Islanders and then they will finish this road trip on Sunday against the St. Louis Blues.

Both the Devils and Islanders sit out of playoff position and the Jets have a great opportunity to pick up valuable points that will be crucial in their chase of the Wild Card. Currently, the Jets trail the second Wild Card playoff spot by seven points.

Odds

This is an interesting matchup considering how the Devils have played extremely well during this homestand and the Jets are back on the road and have a below .500 record away from home this season.

This is the second and final matchup between these sides this season. In early December, the Jets won a crazy twelve-goal game versus New Jersey at the Canada Life Centre. The Jets were up 3-0, but blew that lead and were trailing 4-3 at the early stages of the second period. Winnipeg then scored five unanswered goals to win 8-4.
