The Winnipeg Jets are back at the Canada Life Centre after completing a short two-game mid-week road trip and will now start a three-game homestand to kick off April. Tonight the Jets host the Los Angeles Kings with the opening puck drop set for 6:00 p.m. central time.

The Jets are back home after picking up two of the four available points on their road trip. On Wednesday the Jets beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 in a shootout but followed that win with a 7-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night.

This game is game three of a three-game road trip for the Kings. Los Angeles also played back-to-back games on Wednesday and Thursday and both of those games were decided in a shootout.

The Kings lost the first game of this trip to the Edmonton Oilers in a shootout but then bounced back with a 3-2 shootout win over the Calgary Flames two nights ago.

Tonight’s game kicks off a jam-packed last month of the season for the Winnipeg Jets.

The Jets will have 13 games throughout April to end the 2021-2022 regular season. Seven of those games will be on home ice while all six road games will be against Eastern Conference opponents.

Every point from here on out is critical for the Jets to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs in one of the Wild Card playoff spots.

Odds

The Winnipeg Jets are listed as the favorites for this game, courtesy of WynnBET.

Some may find this surprising considering that the Kings have a better win percentage than the Jets and have a great record away from home (19-9-6).

It is interesting to note that the Jets and Kings have played twice this season and the Jets won both of those contests by a 3-2 scoreline.
