The Winnipeg Jets host the NHL’s best team, the Colorado Avalanche, tonight at the Canada Life Centre. The game is set to begin shortly after 7:00 p.m. central time.

Winnipeg is coming into tonight looking to break their three-game losing streak that has pushed them out of the Wild Card playoff race with eleven games left in the season. The Jets are now long shots to make the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Jets losing streak started last Thursday night in Toronto with a 7-3 loss to the Maple Leafs and then they followed that up with home losses to the Los Angeles Kings and Detroit Red Wings.

Tonight will be a tough task for the Jets as they come up against the Avalanche who have the highest win percentage in the NHL, have already clinched a playoff spot, are on a four-game winning streak, and have a six-game point streak (4-0-2 record over their last six)

Also, the Winnipeg Jets have yet to beat the Colorado Avalanche this regular season losing both of their prior matchups

Tonight is the third time these sides will be meeting and they will meet one more time later this month.

Both prior meetings have not gone well for the Jets as they lost both of those matchups in regulation and gave up a combined 13 goals in two games to Colorado.

The Jets will look to break this streak tonight and look to pick up their first regular season win this year versus the Avalanche

Odds

The Winnipeg Jets are listed as the underdogs for tonight’s clash, courtesy of WynnBET.

Colorado has been outstanding this whole season and also has a four-game winning streak coming into tonight, while the Jets have faltered as of late and have fallen out of the playoff race.

Also, the Avalanche have dominated the season series and have blown the Jets out in both prior meetings.
