The Winnipeg Jets are in Ottawa for a matchup against the Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre. The opening puck drop for tonight’s game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. central time.

The Jets come into this game after a three-game homestand that did not go well for them. After losing all three games (0-2-1 record) at the Canada Life Centre, the Jets have fallen out of the Western Conference Wild Card race and they pretty much need a miracle at this stage of the season to make the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Senators also come into tonight on a losing streak. After starting April by winning their first three games of the month, they have lost their last two contests including losing 5-1 to the Rangers last night at Madison Square Garden.

This game is also the start of a back-to-back for the Jets. Tomorrow night, the Jets will be in Montreal to face off against the Canadiens.

The Winnipeg Jets will play six of their next seven games away from home

After these two games, the Jets will return home for a matchup versus the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday, and then they will return to the road for four games against Eastern Conference opponents.

The Jets will face a back-to-back against the Florida Franchises on Friday (Florida Panthers) and Saturday (Tampa Bay Lightning) and then will finish the road trip against the Rangers on April 19 and the Carolina Hurricanes on April 21.

Odds

WynnBET lists the Winnipeg Jets as the favorites in this game.

Both of these teams have struggled as of late and the Senators played yesterday evening on the road, which may give the Jets a bit of an advantage.

These sides met a couple of weeks ago in Winnipeg and the Senators were victorious in that one, winning 5-2.
