The Winnipeg Jets’ top prospects are back in action today for their final game of the 2022 Young Stars classic.

At 1:00 p.m. central time (11:00 a.m. pacific), the Jets will face off against the Calgary Flames at the South Okanagan Events Centre in British Columbia. You can watch today’s game at the Jets’ official website.

This is a quick back-to-back for the Jets as they played yesterday afternoon against the host, Vancouver Canucks and lost 4-1. In yesterday’s game, the Jets had a plethora of scoring opportunities but failed to make their opportunities count in the loss.

Both the Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames look for their first win in their final game of the Young Stars Classic

Coming into the final day of this round-robin tournament, both the Jets and Flames have yet to win. As stated above, the Jets lost yesterday to the Canucks 4-1 and dropped their opening game on Friday to the Oilers by a 3-2 scoreline.

Likewise, the Flames also have a 0-0-2 record. On Friday, Vancouver shutout Calgary 3-0 and then on Saturday the Flames lost again by three goals, but this time it was a 4-1 loss to Edmonton.

Some players to watch in today’s contest for the Flames are Jakob Pelletier and Connor Zary. Both of these players are coming off a full season in the AHL with the Stockton Heat last season. Pelletier had a terrific first AHL season as he just finished below averaging a point per game. In 66 regular season games, the twenty-one-year-old had 27 goals and 35 assists for 62 points.

Zary also impressed in the AHL last season as he amassed 25 points (13 goals and 12 assists) in 53 games played.
