The Winnipeg Jets begin their final three games of the 2022 preseason tonight as they match up against the Edmonton Oilers at the Canada Life Centre. Tonight’s game is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. central time.

This is the second time the Jets and Oilers are facing off this preseason. Last weekend, the Jets kicked off their preseason in Edmonton. The Oilers were the much better side in that game and skated to a commanding 4-0 victory.

Last time out, on Tuesday, the Jets were at the Bell Centre and had a 4-3 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. The Jets were trailing by one goal in the final minutes of the contest and scored two goals, courtesy of Brad Lambert and Nate Schmidt, to complete the comeback and win the game.

This is the second game of a back-to-back for the Oilers. Last night, they beat the Calgary Flames 2-1 in Edmonton.

The Winnipeg Jets are looking for three straight preseason wins

The Jets will have more of an NHL-type roster tonight. Last Jets’ home game, the Jets dressed more of a veteran lineup than what they employed in Montreal.

After the Jets’ preseason home opener win against Ottawa, Rick Bowness was not pleased with how some of the Jets’ veterans performed and was frustrated with their shift lengths. It will definitely be interesting to watch how these players respond in this game to their new head coach.

Since the Oilers played less than 24 hours ago, they have yet to reveal their lineup. In their win versus Calgary, the Oilers dressed a veteran lineup so we may see Edmonton employ a younger and inexperienced roster tonight.
