Queue the 1980 hit song, “On the Road Again” by Willie Nelson for the Winnipeg Jets. It has been a week since the Jets completed their first road trip of the new season in which they played three games in four nights against the Dallas Stars, Colorado Avalanche, and Vegas Golden Knights.

Tonight the Jets begin their second road trip of the season as they again will play three in four nights, but this time the Jets will start with a back-to-back.

This evening the Jets are at the Staples Center and take on the Los Angeles Kings. The game is scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m. central time.

The Winnipeg Jets will look to build off Monday’s win as they face off against the Los Angeles Kings

On Monday night, the Jets finished their three-game homestand off with an outstanding 4-0 win over the St. Louis Blues. The Jets played a great all-around game. Connor Hellebuyck got the shutout and all four offensive lines and three defensive pairs contributed in the win.

The 3-3-0 Jets will now look to build off their game versus St. Louis and look for better results on the road. The Jets finished their last road trip with a 1-2-0 record.

The Kings are coming into this game after their first home win of the new season on Tuesday night against the defending Eastern Conference Champions, the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Kings scored three unanswered goals in the second and third periods en route to a 4-2 win.

Just like the Jets, the Kings also have a .500 record at this early point of the season. They are 4-4-0 with a 1-2-0 record at home.

Tonight is the first of three matchups between Winnipeg and Los Angeles this season. The sides will meet again in late February in Winnipeg and finish their regular season in Los Angeles in late March.
