Connor Hellebuyck had a performance for the ages last night, in the Winnipeg Jets’ 2-1 overtime loss at the T-Mobile Arena against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Earlier this morning, I highlighted Hellebuyck’s performance as the number one talking point from the Jets vs. Golden Knights game.
The Jets were heavily outplayed in the game including being outshot 18-4 in the first period and 15-4 in the second period. Ultimately the Jets were outshot 48-24 and the fact that they earned a point in this game was incredible and they have Hellebuyck to thank for that.
Twitter has reacted to Connor Hellebuyck’s performance in the Winnipeg Jets’ loss against the Golden Knights
Twitter was in awe of Hellebuyck’s game in Las Vegas and the first tweet called this a Jets “goaltending performance for the ages” before the game even concluded:
And one more before OT because why not. This is an #NHLJets goaltending performance for the ages.

The next tweet is a perfect summary of how Hellebuyck played against Vegas. This was a performance that only very few goaltenders have in a season.
Connor Hellebuyck is not human.#NHLJets

Our own contributor, Brian Finlayson, had a simple tweet about Hellebuyck for this game. Nothing else needed to be said, Hellebuyck was the star of the game.
Connor Hellebuyck. That's it. That's the tweet.

I think many people would agree with this next Tweet. Hellebuyck was the reason the Jets secured a point to conclude their road trip.
Let’s be honest the Jets didn’t deserve two points and only Connor Hellebuyck was the reason they leave Vegas with one point. Scheifele has played much better this season but more effort on checking Eichel in OT would have been nice to see. But 5 of 6 points on road trip is good

This tweet looks at the way the game ended for the Jets’ netminder and I couldn’t agree more. Jack Eichel took advantage of a tired Jets group and made a great move around Hellebuyck to win this game in overtime.
That's just a brutal way to lose for Hellebuyck.

Connor Hellebuyck’s last three outings have been outstanding as he picked up his first shutout of the season against the St. Louis Blues, then picked up 40 saves in the win against the Los Angeles Kings, and finally made 46 saves versus Vegas.

Hellebuyck will look to keep this great run of form up when the Winnipeg Jets host the Montreal Canadiens this Thursday night at the Canada Life Centre.
