Winnipeg Jets vs Chicago Blackhawks Preview: Jets Riding a 5-Game Point Streak
The Winnipeg Jets are back at the Canada Life Centre this afternoon for game two of their three-game homestand as they faceoff in a Central Division game against the Chicago Blackhawks. The opening puck drop is set for 2 p.m. central time.
The Jets started this homestand well on Thursday night with a thrilling 3-2 overtime win over the Montreal Canadiens. Kyle Connor scored the overtime winner. That win now puts the Jets on a five-game point streak (4-0-1 record)
The Blackhawks also needed overtime to decide their last game, which was also on Thursday evening. Jonathan Toews was able to send the United Center crowd home happy after he scored in three-on-three action to give the Blackhawks a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings.
Chicago’s twenty-three-year-old rookie goaltender, Arvid Soderblom also picked up his first NHL victory in the win against Los Angeles. Through eleven games this season, the Blackhawks currently have a 5-4-2 record.
