As we will do most Fridays throughout the rest of the season, we will have a Central Division power ranking recapping the past week (Friday-Thursday night) in the division and ranking the top three teams in the Central. You can read our first power rankings, which were released a week ago today, by clicking the link here.

Since last Friday, a lot has changed in the Division. The Winnipeg Jets have now taken over first place from the Dallas Stars. Also, there are three Central teams on three-game win streaks and those teams are the Winnipeg Jets, Colorado Avalanche, and Arizona Coyotes.

The Winnipeg Jets have taken over the top spot in this week’s Central Divison Power Rankings

Below are our power rankings in the Central Division for the week of November 4th through November 11th ranking the top three teams:

Previous: 3rd. Colorado Avalanche. 3. team. 103. . 7-4-1

The Avalanche have had a good week and have climbed to third place in the division standings. Last weekend, they played in Finland in the 2022 NHL Global Series against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Colorado swept the series overseas as they won 6-3 and 5-1.

The Avs returned to Denver last night and hosted the Nashville Predators and beat the Preds 5-3. This win now puts Colorado on a three-game winning streak.

Over the next week, the Avalanche will play the Carolina Hurricanes twice and between those games, Colorado will host the Blues. It will be interesting to watch the Avs against the Hurricanes, who are one of the frontrunners in the East.

8-4-1. Previous: 1st. Dallas Stars. 2. team. 119.

The Stars only had two games this past week, but they suffered one fatal loss that dropped them from the number one spot last week to the number two spot this week.

Dallas entered their game on Tuesday night against the Winnipeg Jets on a three-game win streak, but the Jets were also on a point and win streak of their own. Therefore, this game put the then first placed Stars against the second placed Jets.

The Stars were second best on the night, heavily lost 5-1 to the Jets, and dropped to second place in the standings. *The Stars do have the same amount of points as the Jets, but the Jets have a game in hand on the Stars, so therefore the Jets have the tiebreaker in the standings.*

Dallas will look to bounce back tonight as they host the San Jose Sharks. After this game, the Stars will head on a three-game Eastern Conference road trip where they will take on the Flyers, Lightning, and Panthers all this upcoming week.

1. team. 107. . 8-3-1. Previous: 2nd. Winnipeg Jets

The Jets had an outstanding past week. They played against two divisional opponents and won both games in an outstanding fashion.

Last Saturday, the Jets shutout the Chicago Blackhawks 4-0. Then on Tuesday, the Jets made a statement by beating the Stars, who were sitting in first place, 5-1. With these wins, the Jets improved their record 5-1-0 record against the division.

These two wins moved the Jets into first place in the Division. Winnipeg is also on an incredible seven-game point streak (6-0-1 record) and have won their last three games. With their performances this past week, the Jets deservedly move into first place in our power rankings.
